Wyjaśnienie po polsku

Cloistered Youth // Unholy Fiend

Creature — Human // Creature — Horror

(Brak tekstu Oracle podanego; karta jest dwustronna — przód: Cloistered Youth; tył: Unholy Fiend.)

Jak działa karta?

This is a double-faced card with a front face (Cloistered Youth) and a back face (Unholy Fiend). Use the information on the face that is face up. Face-down creatures are 2/2s with no name, mana cost, types, or abilities. Transforming flips the card to the other face.

To interpret and play this double-faced card (DFC), use the following rules: the card has two faces—front: Cloistered Youth (a Creature — Human), back: Unholy Fiend (a Creature — Horror). You can cast Cloistered Youth from your hand like any normal creature spell while it is face up in your hand. If the card transforms, flip it so the other face is face up; transforming moves the card to its other face and you then use that face's name, mana cost (if relevant), types, power/toughness, and abilities. If the card is face down (for example due to being manifested or played as a face-down creature), it is a 2/2 creature with no name, no mana cost, no types, and no abilities; you can't look at the other face unless an effect specifically allows it. When a ruling or effect refers to double-faced cards, follow the Shadows over Innistrad double-faced card rules: only the face that is face up is relevant for game effects that read information from the card. If the card transforms, use the Unholy Fiend face after transforming.

Ważne interakcje

To play either face, the card must be in your deck and you reveal it when instructed (e.g., by effects that let you look at or reveal cards). You can cast the front face (Cloistered Youth) from your hand. If the back face (Unholy Fiend) is face down in a zone, it's treated as a double-faced card and may be turned face up only by effects that specifically turn it face up or by game actions that cause it to transform.
This card is a double-faced card. It has two faces: the front face (Cloistered Youth) and the back face (Unholy Fiend). The printed information you use depends on which face is currently face up.
If the card is face down (e.g., played as a morph or manifested), it is a 2/2 creature with no name, no mana cost, no types, and no abilities. You can't look at the back face while it is face down unless an effect allows you to.
If an effect would cause the card to transform, turn it face up to its back face (Unholy Fiend). If a rule or effect refers to transforming this card, it will become the Unholy Fiend when it transforms; transforming is different from turning face up if the card was face down for other reasons.
If you need to verify which face is in a zone (hand, graveyard, etc.), players are generally allowed to look at cards in hidden zones only when game rules or effects permit; to prove information about this card to an opponent (for example after it transformed), show the appropriate face as required by rules.
If the game needs to know the mana cost, types, power/toughness, or abilities of the card while it's face up, use the information printed on that face.
If a spell or ability refers to this card by name, it means the name currently showing on its face. If it is face down, it has no name and is not affected by effects that look for a specific name.

Częste pomyłki

Thinking both faces' names, types, or abilities apply at the same time: only the face that is face up matters.
Looking at the back face while the card is face down without an effect that allows you to: you may not look at the hidden face.
Treating transforming the same as simply turning a face-down card face up: transforming changes to the other face as a game action tied to transformation; turning face up can also happen for face-down cards but only if an effect specifically turns them face up.

Przykład

Example: If you cast Cloistered Youth from your hand, resolve it as the front face. If later an effect causes it to transform, turn it face up to Unholy Fiend and use the back face's characteristics. If it was manifested face down earlier, it is only a 2/2 with no name until an effect turns it face up or it transforms.
