Jak działa karta?

Gdy przeciwnik zagrywa czar, Veiled Sentry (jeśli nadal jest enchantmentem) zmienia się w Illusion creature o mocy i wytrzymałości równych wartości many tego czaru; pamięta tę wartość nawet jeśli czar zniknie ze stosu.

Veiled Sentry ma zdolność wyzwalaną "When an opponent casts a spell...". To znaczy: w momencie, gdy przeciwnik oznajmia zagranie czaru i kładzie go na stos, zdolność wyzwalająca trafia na stos. Pamięta się wartość many czaru nawet jeśli czar już nie znajduje się na stosie, gdy zdolność rozwiązuje się.
Zdolność wyzwala się w momencie zagrania czaru, więc stałe stanie się stworzeniem zanim zagrany czar rozwiąże się.
Staje się stworzeniem nawet jeśli zagrany czar zostanie skontrowany.
Gdy stanie się stworzeniem, przestaje być enchantmentem.

Częste pomyłki

Mylenie momentu: zdolność wyzwala się przy zagrywaniu czaru (casting), nie przy jego rozwiązywaniu (resolving).
Uważanie, że jeśli czar został skontrowany, zdolność nic nie zrobi — zdolność nadal tworzy stworzenie, bo pamięta wartość many czaru.
Zakładanie, że pozostaje enchantmentem po zmianie — gdy stanie się stworzeniem, nie jest już enchantmentem.

Przeciwnik zagrywa czar o wartości many 4. Zdolność Veiled Sentry wyzwala się. Gdy się rozwiąże, jeśli Veiled Sentry jest nadal enchantmentem, staje się Illusion creature 4/4. Jeśli czar zostanie skontrowany po wejściu na stos, Veiled Sentry i tak stanie się 4/4, bo pamięta wartość many czaru.
