Wyjaśnienie po polsku

Vodaliański mag (Vodalian Mage)

Stworzenie — Syrenka Czarodziejka

: Kontruj docelowy czar, chyba że jego kontroler zapłaci {1}

Jak działa karta?

{U} , {T} : Celuj w czar.

To activate the Mage's ability you must pay {U} (one blue mana) and tap Vodaliański mag. This targets a spell on the stack (any player's spell). When the ability resolves, the controller of that targeted spell gets the option to pay {1} . If that player pays {1} , their spell remains on the stack and is not countered. If they don’t or can’t pay {1} , the targeted spell is countered.

The ability is an activated ability that targets a spell. If the ability is countered or otherwise does not resolve, nothing happens to the targeted spell. If Vodaliański mag is removed from the battlefield or becomes untapped after you activate the ability but before it resolves, that does not affect the resolution — the ability still asks the spell’s controller to pay {1} when it resolves.

Ważne interakcje

Ability can be activated only if you can pay its cost: and tapping Vodalian Mage.
Targets a spell on the stack. The spell's controller is the one who may pay .
If the controller pays , the spell is not countered. If they don't or can't pay, the spell is countered.
If Vodalian Mage becomes untapped after activation (e.g., via an effect), that doesn't change the resolution of the already-activated ability.

Przykład: Masz Vodaliańskiego maga i {U} dostępne. Przeciwnik rzuca czar, który chcesz powstrzymać. Aktywujesz zdolność, płacisz {U} i tapujesz maga, celujesz w tamten czar.
