You don't choose a target creature at the time you cast Hypothesizzle. Rather, a second "reflexive" ability triggers when you discard a nonland card. You choose a target for that ability as it goes on the stack. Each player may respond to this triggered ability as normal. Notably, the triggered ability isn't a crime, but the reflexive triggered ability potentially is.

Wyjaśnienie po polsku
Hypothesizzle
Błyskawica
Dobierz dwie karty. Następnie możesz odrzucić kartę inną niż ląd. Gdy to zrobisz, Hypothesizzle zadaje 4 obrażenia wskazanemu stworowi.
Jak działa karta?
Dobierasz dwie karty, możesz odrzucić kartę inną niż ląd; jeśli to zrobisz, Hypothesizzle zadaje 4 obrażenia wskazanemu stworowi.
Zagrasz Hypothesizzle, dobierasz dwie karty, odrzucasz niebędącą lądem kartę z ręki; wtedy wybierasz cel i zdolność zadaje 4 obrażenia wskazanemu stworowi.
