If an effect refers to a Food, it means any Food artifact, not just a Food artifact token. For example, you can sacrifice Tough Cookie (an Artifact Creature — Food Golem) to activate Maraleaf Rider's ability (an ability with "Sacrifice a Food" in its cost).

Wyjaśnienie po polsku
Słodkozębna Czarownica (Sweettooth Witch)
Stwór — Człowiek Czarownik
Gdy ten stwór wchodzi na pole bitwy, stwórz żeton Jedzenia (Food). (To artefakt z ", , Poświęć ten żeton: Otrzymujesz 3 punkty życia.")
, Poświęć Jedzenie (Food): Wskazany gracz traci 2 punkty życia.
, , Poświęć ten żeton: Otrzymujesz 3 punkty życia."), Poświęć Jedzenie (Food): Wskazany gracz traci 2 punkty życia.Jak działa karta?
Wchodząc w pole bitwy, stwarzasz żeton Jedzenia (Food). Możesz też zapłacić i poświęcić Jedzenie, by wskazany gracz stracił 2 życia.
Gdy ta karta wchodzi na pole bitwy, stwarzasz żeton Jedzenia (Food) — artefakt z umiejętnością „, , Poświęć ten żeton: Otrzymujesz 3 punkty życia.” Możesz też zapłacić i poświęcić Jedzenie (Food), by wskazany gracz stracił 2 punkty życia.
Możesz potem zapłacić i poświęcić to Jedzenie, by przeciwnik stracił 2 punkty życia.

Whatever you do, don't eat the delicious cards.
Food is an artifact type. Even though it appears on some creatures, it's never a creature type.
You can't sacrifice a Food to pay multiple costs. For example, you can't sacrifice a Food token to activate its own ability and also to activate Maraleaf Rider's ability.
