To resolve the scheme, its triggered ability goes on the stack. When it resolves, each opponent sacrifices a creature they choose.
If you control six or more lands at the moment the triggered ability resolves, the process (each opponent chooses a creature they control to sacrifice, then those creatures are sacrificed simultaneously) happens a second time.
Opponents choose which creature to sacrifice for each sacrifice event. In team games the opposing team chooses one creature for each player on that team; in Supervillain Rumble, players choose in turn order starting with the next player.
All creatures chosen for a single sacrifice event are sacrificed simultaneously. Abilities that trigger on creatures dying won’t resolve until after the scheme’s triggered ability has fully finished resolving, but they will see other creatures that died at the same time.
You can’t play a land between the two sacrifice events to change the check; the number of lands you control is checked only when the triggered ability resolves.
