Riot: przy wejściu wybierasz +1/+1 albo haste. Jeśli nie można dać +1/+1, da mu się haste. Haste otrzymane w ten sposób jest trwałe. Trample: zadaje nadmiarowe obrażenia obronie/zasadzce.

Wrecking Beast ma Riot i Trample. Riot oznacza: gdy ten stwór wchodzi na pole bitwy, zastępująco wybierasz natychmiast jedną z opcji — umieścić na nim żeton +1/+1 lub dać mu haste. To jest część procesu wchodzenia i inni gracze nie mogą na ten wybór odpowiadać. Jeśli wybrałeś +1/+1, stwór wchodzi z tym żetonem. Jeśli wybrałeś haste, stwór zyskuje haste i zatrzymuje go na stałe (nie przestaje mieć go po zakończeniu tury ani gdy zmienia się kontroler). Riot jest efektem zastępującym przy wejściu na pole bitwy. Gdy Wrecking Beast wchodzi na pole bitwy, wybierasz od razu jedną z opcji: położyć na nim żeton +1/+1 albo dać mu haste. Ta decyzja jest częścią wejścia i nie można na nią odpowiedzieć.
Jeśli wybierzesz żeton +1/+1, stwór otrzymuje ten żeton w chwili, gdy wchodzi na pole bitwy.
Jeśli wybierzesz haste, stwór zyskuje haste na stałe (nie traci go na końcu tury i nie traci go, gdy inni gracze przejmą nad nim kontrolę).

Myślenie, że wybór z Riotu jest akcją na stosie — to nieprawda. Wybierasz w momencie wejścia i gracze nie mogą na to odpowiadać.
Zakładanie, że haste z Riotu trwa tylko do końca tury — haste nadany przez Riot jest trwały.
Przekonanie, że jeśli coś zapobiega żetonom, Riot nic nie robi — w takiej sytuacji stwór i tak dostaje haste.

If a creature entering the battlefield has riot but can’t have a +1/+1 counter put onto it, it gains haste.

If you choose for the creature to gain haste, it gains haste indefinitely. It won’t lose it as the turn ends or as another player gains control of it.

Riot is a replacement effect. Players can’t respond to your choice of +1/+1 counter or haste, and they can’t take actions while the creature is on the battlefield without one or the other.
