Jak działa karta?

Dowódcy, którymi kontrolujesz, nie mogą być targetowani, nie mogą być blokowani, nic nie można do nich dołączyć i wszystkie obrażenia im zadane są zapobiegane. Efekty nie-targetujące nadal mogą na nich działać.

Flash — możesz zagrać tę kartę jak instant (w dowolnym momencie, gdy możesz zagrać instanta). Vigilance — gdy ta istota atakuje, nie zamęcza się po ataku.
Aegis of the Emperor — "Commanders you control have protection from everything." Oznacza to, że wszystkie twoje dowódcy zyskują protection from everything, czyli protection przed wszystkim (z ang. everything). Zasady protection stosuje się w standardowy sposób: (1) zabrania targetowania przez spelle i zdolności, (2) zabrania bycia zablokowanym, (3) uniemożliwia attachowanie do nich sprzętu/aur/itd., oraz (4) zapobiega wszystkim obrażeniom, które miałyby im być zadane. Jednak protection nie uniemożliwia efektów, które nie targetują istot — takie efekty nadal mogą wpływać na dowódców, jeśli spełniają warunki danego efektu.

Ważne interakcje

Jeśli spell lub zdolność próbują skierować się w stronę twojego dowódcy (target), nie mogą, bo dowódcy mają protection from everything. Nie mylić z całkowitą immunnością — efekty, które nie targetują, nadal mogą wpływać na nich.
Dowódcy nie mogą być blokowani (nie można deklarować blokerów dla atakujących dowódców).
Nic nie może być do nich attached — nie można dołączyć equipmentów, enchantmentów-aura itp.
Całe obrażenia, które miałyby zostać im zadane, są zapobiegane.
Zdolności lub efekt, które nie targetują (np. „Destroy all creatures with power 2 or less”) nadal mogą wpływać na twoich dowódców, o ile warunki efektu ich obejmują.
Jeśli jakiś efekt zmienia sposób, w jaki dowódca byłby traktowany (np. zmienia strefę lub nazwy), to nadal może działać, jeżeli nie polega na targetowaniu dowódcy.

Częste pomyłki

Myślenie, że protection from everything czyni dowódcę całkowicie niezniszczalnym — nie chroni przed efektami, które nie targetują (np. globalnymi destroy).
Próba dołączenia equipment/aur do dowódcy — protection zapobiega attachowaniu.
Zakładanie, że effecty zmieniające stan (jak exile, move zones lub globalne zmiany) nie mogą dotyczyć dowódcy — jeśli nie targetują, mogą.

Przykład: przeciwnik odrzuca card z tekstem „Destroy target creature.” Nie może wybrać twojego dowódcy jako celu, bo ma protection from everything. Ale jeśli przeciwnik zagrywa kartę „Destroy all creatures with toughness 4 or less”, i twój dowódca ma toughness 4 lub mniej, ten efekt nadal go zniszczy, bo nie targetuje.

Protection from everything means that commanders you control can't be the target of any spells or abilities, they can't be blocked, nothing can be attached to them, and all damage that would be dealt to them is prevented. They can still be affected in other ways (such as by Their Name is Death, for example).
