Jeżeli miałbyś dobrać kartę, a twoja biblioteka jest pusta, zamiast tego wygrywasz grę. To zastępuje czynność dobierania.

Zamiast dobierać z pustej biblioteki, wygrywasz grę. Efekt jest zastąpieniem czynności dobierania karty — kiedy instrukcja mówi, że miałbyś dobrać kartę i twoja biblioteka jest pusta, ta instrukcja zostaje zamieniona na „wygrywasz grę”. Działa to dokładnie w momencie, gdy miałby nastąpić dobór, i może natychmiast zakończyć grę.

Ważne interakcje

Jeżeli kilku graczy kontroluje Maniaka laboratorium i każdy z nich ma dobierać pewną liczbę kart, najpierw dobiera gracz, którego tura; jeśli z tego powodu wygra, gra kończy się natychmiast. Jeśli gra się nie skończy, ten sam proces powtarza się dla kolejnych graczy w kolejności tur.

If two or more players each control a Laboratory Maniac and each player is instructed to draw a number of cards, first the player whose turn it is draws that many cards. If this causes that player to win the game instead, the game is immediately over. If the game isn't over yet, repeat this process for each other player in turn order.

If for some reason you can't win the game (because your opponent has cast Angel's Grace this turn, for example), you won't lose for having tried to draw a card from a library with no cards in it. The draw was still replaced.
