Wyjaśnienie po polsku

Serendib Sorcerer

When you activate the ability, choose a target creature other than Serendib Sorcerer. The chosen creature’s base power and toughness become 0/2 until end of turn.
This sets the creature’s base (printed) power and toughness to 0/2; continuous effects that modify power/toughness (like +1/+1 counters or effects that set power/toughness) apply on top of that according to layer rules.
If the targeted creature is removed from the battlefield or becomes an illegal target before the ability resolves, the ability will still resolve but do nothing to that creature.
If another effect later sets that creature’s base power and toughness to something else before end of turn, that later effect will determine the creature’s base values according to timestamp/order and layer rules.

Częste pomyłki

Mylenie "bazowej" z końcową wartością — efekt ustawia bazowe wartości, a inne efekty mogą je dalej zmieniać.
Sądzanie, że Serendib Sorcerer może celować w siebie — tekst wyraźnie mówi "other than this creature" (innej niż ta istota).
