To resolve Grow Old Together, look at the top ten cards of your library and choose up to two creature cards among them. Put those chosen cards into your hand, then shuffle your library.
The effect “Creature cards in your hand perpetually get +1/+1” is a continuous static effect that applies to creature cards while they are in your hand for as long as that effect exists.
Because this is an instant, you can cast it at any time you could cast an instant (for example, during an opponent's turn or in response to something).
If fewer than two creature cards are among the top ten, you may take only the available creature cards (zero, one, or two).
You choose the creature cards from the top ten, then shuffle the remainder of your library. The chosen cards go to your hand before you shuffle.
If an effect would look at or reveal the top of your library after this spell resolves, it will see the post-shuffle order.
