Jak działa karta?

Gdy karty z twojej ręki trafią do wykluczenia lub gdy twoje zaklęcie/zdolność wyłącza permanenty z pola bitwy, Hero of Bretagard dostaje tyle +1/+1 counterów, ile kart/permanentów zostało wyłączonych. Przy ≥5 counterów zyskuje flying i staje się Aniołem; przy ≥10 counterów ma indestructible i staje się Bogiem.

1) Wyzwalanie zdolności: Zdolność wyzwalająca sprawdza dwa oddzielne rodzaje zdarzeń: (a) karty z twojej ręki trafiają do wykluczenia (exile) — to działa niezależnie od tego, kto je wyłączał ani dlaczego (np. foretell, koszt alternatywny itd.), oraz (b) zaklęcie albo zdolność, które kontrolujesz, wyłącza jeden lub więcej permanentów z pola bitwy — to zadziała niezależnie od tego, czy wyłączone permanenty należały do ciebie czy do przeciwnika (dotyczy także tokenów). 2) Liczenie żetonów: Drugie i trzecie zdanie sprawdzają tylko liczbę żetonów na tej istocie; nie patrzą na ich typ. Każdy żeton liczy się tak samo.
3) Zyskiwanie właściwości: Gdy liczba żetonów spełni próg (>=5 lub >=10), istota natychmiast zyskuje wymienione właściwości: przy >=5 ma flying i dodatkowo typ Angel; przy >=10 ma indestructible i dodatkowo typ God. Gdy liczba żetonów spadnie poniżej progu, traci te właściwości. Wszystkie typy są dodatkowe, więc przy >=10 będzie jednocześnie Human, Warrior, Angel i God (o ile inne efekty tego nie zmieniają).

Częste pomyłki

Myślenie, że wyzwala się tylko gdy ty wyłączasz coś z ręki — wystarczy, że karty z twojej ręki trafią do wykluczenia z jakiegokolwiek powodu.
Zakładanie, że permanenty muszą należeć do ciebie — liczy się, że to ty kontrolowałeś zaklęcie/zdolność, która je wyłączyła; permanenty mogą należeć do przeciwnika, wliczają się też tokeny.
Uważanie, że muszą to być konkretne żetony +1/+1 — karta sprawdza tylko liczbę żetonów, dowolne żetony (np. lojalnościowe czy inne) liczą się do progów.

Hero of Bretagard has recieved an update to its Oracle text. Specifically, its triggered ability doesn't care which player is exiling the cards and permanents. Cards put into exile from your hand for any reason, such as the foretell ability, cause the ability to trigger, and permanents exiled from the battlefield cause it to trigger if you controlled the spell or ability that exiled them.

Hero of Bretagard's triggered ability will trigger when a spell or ability you control exiles any permanent, including token permanents and permanents you don't control.

With ten or more counters on it, Hero of Bretagard will have flying and indestructible, and it will be an Angel and a God (and a Human and a Warrior, but those aren't as exciting).

Neither the second nor the third ability of Hero of Bretagard refers to a specific kind of counter. Any counter that's on it will do.
