If you activate the third ability, and the target creature is an illegal target when the ability tries to resolve, it won’t resolve and none of its effects will happen. You won’t gain any life.

Wyjaśnienie po polsku
Garruk, Szczytowy Drapieżca (Garruk, Apex Predator)
Legendarny planeswalker — Garruk
+1: Zniszcz innego wskazanego planeswalkera.
+1: Stwórz żeton stwora Bestia 3/3 w kolorze czarnym ze śmiercionośnością.
−3: Zniszcz wskazany stwór. Otrzymujesz punkty życia równe jego wytrzymałości.
−8: Wskazany przeciwnik otrzymuje emblem z tekstem "Za każdym razem, gdy stwór atakuje ciebie, otrzymuje +5/+5 i zyskuje przebicie do końca tury."
+1: Stwórz żeton stwora Bestia 3/3 w kolorze czarnym ze śmiercionośnością.
−3: Zniszcz wskazany stwór. Otrzymujesz punkty życia równe jego wytrzymałości.
−8: Wskazany przeciwnik otrzymuje emblem z tekstem "Za każdym razem, gdy stwór atakuje ciebie, otrzymuje +5/+5 i zyskuje przebicie do końca tury."

The emblem is owned and controlled by the target of the ability that created it. In a multiplayer game, if Garruk’s owner leaves the game, the emblem does not.
The emblem’s ability won’t trigger if a creature attacks a planeswalker.
The first ability can target and destroy a Garruk planeswalker controlled by another player.
