Buyback {3} lets you pay {3} as you cast the instant so that when it resolves you put the card into your hand instead of the graveyard. The spell forces the targeted creature to attack this turn if it is able to do so.

Buyback {3} : When you cast Imps' Taunt you may pay an additional {3} . You make that decision as part of casting the spell, before it resolves. If you paid the {3} , then when Imps' Taunt resolves you put the card into your hand instead of putting it into your graveyard. Target creature attacks this turn if able: You choose a target creature as you cast Imps' Taunt. The effect lasts until end of turn and requires the creature to attack that turn if it is able to do so. “If able” means the creature will attack only if it can legally be declared as an attacker in the combat step (it is controlled by its controller, untapped, not affected by summoning sickness, not affected by an effect that prevents it from attacking, and there is a valid defending player or planeswalker to attack). If any of those conditions are not met when attackers are declared, the creature simply does not attack. If control of the creature changes after the spell resolves, the current controller of the creature is the one who must attack with it this turn if able.

If the creature has an effect that prevents it from attacking or says it can’t attack, that effect overrides this spell.
Buyback only returns the card to your hand if you paid the additional as you cast the spell; if you didn’t, the card goes to the graveyard as usual.

Thinking Buyback returns the card to your hand immediately — it returns only as the spell resolves, not when you pay the additional cost.
Believing “attacks this turn if able” forces the creature to attack even if it is tapped, affected by summoning sickness, or prevented from attacking — such conditions still stop it from attacking.
Assuming the controller who had the creature when you cast the spell is always the one who must attack — if control changes, the current controller must attack with it this turn if able.
