This card has several parts that affect how it works: 1) 'This spell can’t be countered.' — When you cast Akroma normally (face up as a spell), spells or abilities that would counter it can still be chosen as targets, but when they resolve they won’t counter Akroma. Any other effects those countering spells or abilities would have still happen. This line does not protect a face-down (morph) version of the card; a face-down Akroma can be countered as a normal 2/2 spell. 2) 'Flying, trample, protection from white and from blue' — Flying: Akroma can only be blocked by creatures with flying or reach. Trample: when she assigns combat damage to blockers, you can assign excess lethal damage to the defending player or planeswalker. Protection from white and from blue: she can’t be targeted by white or blue spells or abilities from sources of those colors, any damage from white or blue sources is prevented, she can’t be enchanted or equipped by Auras/Equipment that are white or blue, and creatures that are only white or only blue can’t block her. The protections are separate; both apply. 3) ' {R} : Akroma gets +1/+0 until end of turn.' — You can pay {R} to give her +1 power until end of turn. You may activate this multiple times; each activation goes on the stack and resolves. 4) 'Morph {3} {R} {R} {R} ' — You may cast Akroma face down as a 2/2 creature for {3} . A face-down creature is a colorless, nameless 2/2 with no abilities. You can turn her face up at any time for her morph cost by paying that cost and putting the face-up action on the stack; when it resolves, she becomes her printed card with all abilities. Note that if you cast her face down (the morph casting), that face-down spell can be countered. 5) Commander note from rulings: If Akroma is your commander, you may cast her face down from the command zone by paying {3} plus the commander tax ( {2} for each prior time cast from the command zone). Turning her face up still requires paying her morph cost and is not affected by commander tax.

Casting Akroma can't be countered, so spells or abilities that target it to counter it will fail to counter it, but their other effects still occur. However, if you cast Akroma face down as a 2/2 (morph), that face-down spell can be countered.
Akroma has flying and trample—she can’t be blocked except by creatures with flying and/or reach, and excess combat damage beyond blockers can be assigned to the defending player or planeswalker.
She has protection from white and from blue: she can’t be targeted by, dealt damage by, enchanted or equipped by, or blocked by anything white or blue. Damage from white or blue sources is prevented; spells and abilities from white or blue can’t target her; Auras/Equipment of those colors can’t be attached to her; creatures that are only white or only blue can’t block her. Note: 'from white and from blue' means both protections apply separately.
You can pay : Akroma gets +1/+0 until end of turn. You can activate this ability multiple times per turn and even while she’s summoning sick; it's a static/activated ability that uses the stack.
Morph : You may cast Akroma face down as a 2/2 creature for . While face down she’s a colorless, nameless 2/2 with no abilities. You may turn her face up at any time for her morph cost, paying the cost and putting the ability on the stack; when you do, she becomes her printed card and gains all printed abilities.
If Akroma is cast face down from the command zone in Commander, you pay plus commander tax ( for each previous time cast from command zone) to cast her face down; turning her face up still costs her morph cost.

A spell or ability that counters spells can still target Akroma. When that spell or ability resolves, Akroma won't be countered, but any additional effects of the countering spell or ability will still happen.

In a Commander game where Akroma is your commander, you may cast it face down from the command zone by paying {3} plus {2} for each time it has been cast from your command zone. The cost to turn it face up is unaffected. While face down, the combat damage it deals is still counted as damage dealt by your commander.
