Jak działa karta?

Ważne interakcje

To play the card, choose which face you are using: the front face (Valakut Awakening) or the back face (Valakut Stoneforge). You follow only the characteristics of the chosen face when determining how to play it.
If you cast the instant face (Valakut Awakening), treat it as an instant spell with the oracle text shown on that face; ignore the land face for casting purposes.
If you play the land face (Valakut Stoneforge) as a land, treat it as a land with the oracle text shown on that face; ignore the instant face for playing purposes.
If an effect lets you cast or play a specific modal double-faced card, you may choose either face as long as that face meets the effect’s criteria (e.g., if an effect lets you play a land from exile among several cards, you may play Valakut Stoneforge from among them).
If an effect allows only casting (not playing) a specific modal double-faced card, you may not play its land face; you must cast it as a spell and thus may only choose the instant face.
If an effect puts this card onto the battlefield, it enters with the front face (Valakut Awakening) up; if that front face can’t be put onto the battlefield, the card doesn’t enter.
When determining mana value, use the characteristics of the face being considered: on the stack or battlefield use the face that is up; in other zones (hand, graveyard, library, exile) use the front face.
When resolving Valakut Awakening, you choose how many cards to put on the bottom of your library. If you choose zero, you draw one card.

Częste pomyłki

In the Commander variant, a double-faced card's color identity is determined by the mana costs and mana symbols in the rules text of both faces combined. If either face has a color indicator or basic land type, those are also considered.

To determine whether it is legal to play a modal double-faced card, consider only the characteristics of the face you're playing and ignore the other face's characteristics.

If an effect instructs a player to choose a card name, the name of either face may be chosen. If that effect or a linked ability refers to a spell with the chosen name being cast and/or a land with the chosen name being played, it considers only the chosen name, not the other face's name.
